ORTHODONTIC SURGERY

ORTHODONTIC SURGERY

Our expert dental surgeons can carry out any surgery needed as part of your orthodontic treatment, including the removal of teeth, exposing buried teeth and soft tissue surgery. The procedures can be done under local anaesthetic or intravenous sedation to ensure a comfortable and painless experience.

ORTHODONTIC EXTRACTIONS

To help create space where your teeth are crowded, you may need to have some teeth removed. These are often premolar teeth, or a decayed tooth, and does not affect your appearance for ability to eat.

ORTHODONTIC EXPOSURES

This process involves uncovering buried teeth, enabling them to be properly aligned in the bite. Typically, a small gold chain is temporarily attached to the tooth, which your orthodontist will then connect to your braces.

SOFT TISSUE SURGERY

Occasionally, the soft tissue attachments in your mouth can interfere with the position of your teeth. These can be adjusted with a short procedure called a fraenectomy.
